Yamuna River running through Delhi in India is turning blacker by the day...with toxic foam floating on the river. According to experts, around 70 percent of the pollution in the Yamuna River is human excrement and industrial effluent. Meanwhile, Yamuna fulfils 60 percent of New Delhi's water needs, which is almost the same percentage of the city's sewage that finds its way into the river. Among the close to billions of liters of sewage produced every day,...nearly half ...which has not been effectively treated... is dumped into this river.
