| Video Discription | This is the first series dealing with Iranian/Persian history and the first of the Great Persian Empires. Eventually I would like to cover all of the various empires that rose up in the lands and regions of what is now present day Iran. The lands that would become the Achaemenid Empire or first Persian Empire were ruled by multiple peoples. Some of these people were the Medians, Elamites, Persians and Babylonians. Cyrus the Great, a Persian, would unite these lands and found the largest empire that the world had yet seen. Many of these people would come to refer to Cyrus as "father" rather than conqueror or tyrant.
