| Video Discription | Within a few hours of the horrific and unjustifiable capture of Mazar-I-Sharif, I recorded this version of a famous Afghan folk song (which will now be illegal since the Taliban opposes all music), a song I performed frequently while teaching violin at Afghanistan National Institute of Music from 2010-2014. I now live in Mexico City as concertmaster of Mexico's National Symphony and send solidarity and strength to all my Afghan friends, colleagues, and students. |
