Adams was a solo act by 1961, becoming both a solo singer & song writer. "You Were Mine" was The Fireflies biggest success, strange for a song that was only 1:52 long, but still, one of my personal favorites ! "You Were Mine" was also recorded by Thomas Wayne, who was famous for his recording of "Tragedy" and then, there was also a "answer" song for "You Were Mine" recorded by, The Paulette Sisters called, "I Was Yours" Richie Adams went on to write well over 300 songs. |
