In this video, I will be traveling back to Gangtok taking a short trip to Katao (china border) and the beautiful Yumthang valley. This series is about my recent trip to Sikkim. It was a week long trip and I had covered Gangtok, Lachen, Shri Gurudongmar Lake, Lachung, Katao Valley and Yumthang Valley. I will be covering all the mentioned places in a 4 part series. Sikkim : Sikkim is a state in northeast India, bordered by Bhutan, Tibet and Nepal. Part of the Himalayas, the area has a dramatic landscape that includes India’s highest mountain, 8,586m Kangchenjunga. Sikkim is also home to glaciers, alpine meadows and thousands of varieties of wildflowers. Steep paths lead to hilltop Buddhist monasteries such as Pemayangtse, which dates to the early 1700s.
