| Video Discription | Italiano (english version below): Ho partecipato con gioia alla compilation "Love You - A Tribute To Syd Barrett", edita dalla Gonzo Multimedia. Ho deciso di interpretare "Here I Go" cercando di trasformarla in altro, dato che la versione originale era a mio avviso già perfetta ed intoccabile. Ho consegnato il brano alla label nella sua forma grezza a fine 2019, pronto per il mastering che era compito del loro tecnico di fiducia. Poi le cose sono andate per le lunghe a causa della pandemia, ma finalmente ad inizio 2021 il tutto era pronto. Ero davvero curioso di sentire come avrebbe suonato questa cosa su cd. Purtroppo evidentemente nella fase di mastering qualcosa deve essere andato storto e incomprensibilmente nessuno se n'è accorto: nel marzo 2021 ricevo finalmente le copie fresche di stampa ma la mia cover è distrutta. Nella forma originale dura 3.40 minuti mentre la versione sulla compilation è stata rallentata fino a diventare 4.52, lasciando però il pitch inalterato e, ciliegina sulla torta, trasformandola da stereo a mono. La mia reinterpretazione poteva piacere o meno, ci mancherebbe. Poteva essere mixata male (è quella che posto qui, non è perfetta e lo so) Ma di certo NON È quella finita erroneamente nella stampa finale. Per questo motivo pubblico qui la versione originale, senza mastering, che è la stessa che inviai alla label. Il progetto rimane lodevole, ma la mia personale esperienza è stata davvero tragica: mai in tanti anni di musica (ascoltata, suonata, scritta, recensita, registrata e pubblicata) mi era mai capitato di incappare in un errore simile. E il caso ha voluto che capitasse a me. Ecco quindi la "vera" cover di Here I Go, mi piacerebbe che fosse ricordata -nel bene e nel male- così e non come è finita poi su cd. Grazie. I decided to reinvent "Here I Go" trying to transform it into something else, since the original version was in my opinion already perfect and untouchable. I delivered the song to the label in its raw form at the end of 2019, ready for mastering which was the task of their trusted technician. Then things took a long time due to the pandemic, but finally at the beginning of 2021 everything was ready. I was really curious to hear what this thing would sound like on cd. Unfortunately, obviously in the mastering phase something must have gone wrong and incomprehensibly nobody noticed: in March 2021 I finally receive the fresh copies but my cover is destroyed. In the original form it lasts 3.40 minutes while the version on the compilation has been slowed down to 4.52, leaving however the pitch unchanged and, icing on the cake, transforming it from stereo to mono. You may like it or not my version, God forbid. Maybr it could have been mixed badly (it's the one I post here, it's not perfect and I know) But it certainly IS NOT the one that ended up wrongly in the final print. For this reason I publish here the original version, without mastering, which is the very same one I sent to the label. The project itself remains commendable, but my personal experience was truly tragic: never in so many years of music (listened to, played, written, reviewed, recorded and published) had I ever encountered such bug mistake. And it just so happened that it happened to me. So here is the "real" cover of Here I Go, the way I'd like it to be remembered - for better or for worse - this is it and not how it ended up on CD.
