| Video Discription | National Mission on Education Through ICT - The CEC, an Inter University Centre, was established by University Grants Commission (UGC) on 26th May 1993 under section 12(ccc) of its Act. It is a nodal agency at the national level to address the educational needs of the country through the use of various modes of communication such as TV, Radio, EduSat and Internet. CEC has 22 Educational Multimedia Research Centres (EMRCs) located in various State and Central Universities across the country. At present, 17 centres are operational and 5 centres at Bhubaneswar, Puducherry, Lucknow, Gaya and Dibrugarh have been set up by UGC recently. The centres, comprising about 500 trained manpower and state-of-the-art equipments, are engaged in production of Video and Multimedia based programmes since more than 28 years. http://wes.eletsonline.com/2014/agenda/ |
