The purpose of the project is to promote a better understanding of the Cantonese Diaspora. We do so by documenting the history of early Chinese immigrants and by reporting the current status of major Chinatowns in North America. In the latter case, we invite young people who grew up in or near a Chinatown to narrate their experiences. |
