When I said empathise I meant sympathise, as I don't think I've ever been a paedophile. What I meant by that little part is that you grow to accept him as a character and not as a 'monster' because of the 1st person perspective, you stop thinking about his sociopathic outbursts as crazy because they fit into the narrative so naturally. Also Jessica Hische is a *letterer* not typographer. I care about the distinction as much as she does but it's easier just to say type designer because people can understand what that means more easily.
