In this talk, Dr Shukla and Dr Gadre help us understand how to navigate this dynamic relationship between patients and doctors using the patients’ rights as tools for bridging this divide. In the process, they tackle the age-old questions of how to choose a good doctor and how to be the ideal patient. Dr Arun Gadre is a gynaecologist and Coordinator at Sathi CEHAT. He is the co-author of the book Dissenting Diagnosis which uncovers the exploitation of patients by the medical sector in India. Dr Abhay Shukla is a public health physician and Senior Programme Coordinator at Sathi CEHAT.
