| Video Discription | Personally, I think the title of this video is very appropriate, seeing that, only 7 days after my Orthopaedic surgeon Dr. Vora and his surgical Team at RVH in Barrie, Ontario, Canada, I am able to walk comfortably without any mobility aids. While I experienced a significant amount of bruising in both hips and legs post surgery and had a couple of rough nights due to night sweats and only being able to sleep on my back, overall I am very pleased with the results and my progress. Compared to many hip surgery patients I have talked to, my post double hip replacement recovery is exceptional. I have virtually no pain in either joint and just a little in the thigh, where they used an anterior incision approach to access the hip joint. My physiotherapy starts in 5 days and assuming all goes well I will be back to resuming my workouts at the gym, riding my mountain bike, snowboarding, kitesurfing and doing all the activities I am passionate about and enjoyed prior to the surgery. For the record, I went into surgery with a bone on bone diagnosis in both hips, but also in excellent physical condition and overall health. th |
