| Video Discription | Hi there! Let me introduce myself. My name is John Blaicher. I am normally a very active 71 year old, who on September 25, 2023 is scheduled to have a bilateral (double) hip replacement. The surgery will be performed by Dr. Vora and his Team at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie, Ontario, Canada. My plan to help others needing or scheduled to have hip surgery, is to document my journey through the entire process. I am going to try and be as helpful, informative and objective as possible with my video clips. I will eventually edit and assemble all of the clips into one video, but have decided to post each as my journey unfolds. From walking and sleeping in constant pain, back to kitesurfing, mountain biking, skateboarding, snowboarding etc I am hoping to show how you can have the surgery and with patience and a regimen of physiotherapy and strength building exercises you can return to doing most if not all of the physical activities you once did and are passionate about! Please give each clip a thumbs up or down so I can improve upon then as my journey unfolds over the next 6 months. |
