When I joined the stock market in 2015, I was 18 years old, extremely inexperienced and driven by a hunger for adrenalin that wouldn't come through investing in index funds or large cap companies. Keeping myself up to date on the hottest small cap stocks in Scandinavia via different Facebook forums became the starting point for one of the worst investments I have ever made.
