James Hardie has forecast lower earnings for FY25, pointing to persistently high interest rates and sticky inflation which has weighed on the housing market, particularly in North America which makes up 74% of the company's global net sales. Net sales are up 4% on the year before. TechnologyOne on the other hand has reported higher profits first FY24 along with higher revenue, higher total annual recurring revenue and a record interim dividend, up 10%. Our experts, Rudi Filapek-Vandyck from FNArena and Philip Pepe from Shaw and Partners, share their views on these two stocks. Philip says he expects to see more downgrades for James Hardie overnight, while Rudi says that James Hardie is one of the highest quality cyclicals on the ASX at the moment.
